Gov. Bobby Jindal Demands The Federal Government Step In And Take Over the BP Oil Spill Disaster

Remember when Gov. Bobby Jindal spoke at the Republican Presidential Convention supporting Sarah Palin’s “Drill Baby Drill” policies. He also went on to say, “It comes down to an honest and fundamental disagreement about the proper role of government. We oppose the national Democrats' view that says the way to strengthen our country is to increase dependence on government. We believe the way to strengthen our country is to restrain spending in Washington and empower individuals and small businesses to grow our economy and create jobs.”

Well it seams that Gov. Bobby has had a change of heart and now has an inverse viewpoint of this, his once core belief. Today Gov. Bobby Jindal is complaining that President Obama will not take over and build barrier islands to take on the surge of the oil coming ashore towards Louisiana. What Gov. Bobby Jindal who’s core beliefs and proclamation that Government is not the answer…Government is the problem….is now demanding the Government take over and build barrier islands for Louisiana on the tax payers expense?!?!? So I guess if it is someone else’s problem, the government should not get involved…but if it is destroying your own personal wealth, government needs to step in and take over. Go figure?!?!?

When Gov. Bobby Jindal closed his speech at the Republican Presidential Convention he finished with, “This is the nation that cast off the scourge of slavery (with his state violently fight the whole way complaining that the Federal government was over riding States Rights), overcame the Great Depression (with federal government programs such as CCC, WPA, TVA, etc), prevailed in two World Wars (like Louisiana was the deciding factor?), won the struggle for civil rights (again with his state violently fight the whole way complaining that the Federal government was over riding States Rights), defeated the Soviet menace and responded with determined courage to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. (OK I can’t even follow how Louisiana played a factor in any of this) The American spirit has triumphed over almost every form of adversity known to man, and the American spirit will triumph again.”

Yes so long as President Obama gets of his ass of not doing anything, have the Federal Government spend tax payer’s borrowed money, and build barrier islands off the coast of Louisiana….Because the Drill Baby Drill programs of the oil companies for the previous 8 years had nothing to do with his troubles and loss of personal wealth today.

My how easily these Conservative Republicans can change their minds when their own policies and decisions steal away their own personal wealth!!

But Sarah Palin said, "Drill Baby Drill?!?!?"

Remember just a little or a year ago, all the right wing nut jobs were chanting, “Drill Baby Drill.” I mean after all we were assured by these nut jobs because the Oil Corporations told them and they quoted, “That it was more than safe, environmentally friendly and Sarah Palin shits Ice Cream?!?!?!”

Where are these same people who ridiculed those who thought for themselves and questioned this statement? Why have they gone all silent?

Now in light of the current events of today, the sugar comma sweet, “Sarah Palin,” is going to pray for the people of Louisiana because she and her family lived through the Exxon Valdese oil spill and knows the pain they are going through.

What a “FAKE” TWO FACED BITCH!!! How much longer are the Teabaggers going to be STUPID?

A Brief History Of The Textbook Wars

Napoleon is quoted as saying, “History is written by the victors.

This was never truer than on March 12, 2010, when the Texas Board of Education voted 10 to 5 in favor of curriculum standards that would promote the conservative's take on controversial issues in the pages of the state’s textbooks. The changes were expected to win final approval in May, include an increased emphasis on and sympathetic treatment of such Republican touchstones as the National Rifle Association and the Moral Majority. They also tout the superiority of capitalism and the role of Christianity in the nation’s founding. Even Thomas Jefferson’s profile will be diminished; some board members were less than found of his ideas about the separation of church and state.

This is not Texans’ first such skirmish. Since the 1970’s, the state has tried to drop books that were seen as too liberal or anti-Christian, to omit passages on gay rights movement and to tone down global warming arguments.

But the nation’s battle over textbooks stretches back almost half a century earlier. Other states in the past have done much the same thing:

In 1924, North Carolina bans two textbooks that discuss Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution.

In 1925, Tennessee’s Butler Act, (which was repealed in 1967,) made it illegal to teach “Any theory that denies the story of the Divine Creation of man as told in the Bible.” The Scopes “Monkey Trial” famously followed.

In 1947 The University of Wyoming investigates some textbooks thoughts to contain communist messages.

In 1974, a clash erupted in Kanawha County, West Virginia, over the controversial writings of such authors as George Orwell, Arthur Miller and Allen Ginsberg. Opposition was so heated that some schools were firebombed with dynamite and Molotov cocktails.

Of course one of my favorites was in 1983 when concerned parents in Tennessee sued the Hawkins County school system for shelving the “Satan Oriented” stories such as, “The Three Little Pigs” and “Goldilocks And The Three Bears.” Yes thoughs two books were Devil Worshiping!!!

Even as recently in 2007 where Naperville, Ill., school district approves a controversial science textbook with inaccurate material on contraception.

This past weekend I was listening to a talk radio show that was interviewing one of these Texas Board of Education members. Below are a few of his statements made on the show:

“At the forming of our nation, our founding fathers wanted to invade and take over Texas by sea and add it as the 14th original colony and locate the nation’s capital in Texas.”

“The Texas Constitution is much better than the United States Constitution because when it was written; the founders of Texas had the benefit of hindsight.”

“Texas should return back to “Hanging to Death”, or the “Firing Squad” instead of the “Lethal Injection” method for carrying out a death sentence because the other two would be a better deterrent for such crimes that would receive the death sentence.”

“Sam Houston was a much better leader than George Washington because he was up against much bigger odds.”

This Texas Board of Education member went on and on with statements like the examples above and the radio interviewing host was stunned in amazement that this person, officially representing the Texas School Board, was making these so inaccurate statements as if they were undisputed facts on a national radio show.

As one of the America’s largest textbook buyers, the Longhorn State has a good deal of sway over what is peddled to other schools nationwide. There is hope that as the rest of the more sane States that make up the rest of our Union will review and find the blinding inaccurate faults in what the Texas Board of Education has promoted for their state. Maybe then their only accomplishments will be exposing the stupidity and ignorance that is within the members of the Texas Board of Education.

The Statue of Liberty, The Symbol of American Freedom

What is a pagan goddess doing in the New York City anyway? 1871 a French sculpture sailed into New York Harbor. Frederic Auguste Bertholdi came to America to see if Americans would accept a statue as a gift from the French people to the American people. This gift would commemorate America’s 100th birthday in 1876 and would send a message not only to Americans but to the rest of the world.

Now there is a secret angle to this story. Bertholdi was there on behalf of another Frenchman, Édouard René de Laboulaye and Laboulaye was a revolutionary who wanted to overthrow Napoleon III and give power to the people of France. So underneath it all, the Statue de la Liberté was sending a message about the kind of government that Laboulaye wanted for France. Bertholdi and Laboulaye believed in a stable democratic government and they choose this goddess. Even though he was giving this statue in behalf of the French people, Bertholdi had to convince Americans to accept it, build a pedestal for it, and put it smack in the middle of the New York Harbor.

So Bertholdi set out to look for supporters. His first stop was a group that Bertholdi already belonged to, the secret society of Freemasons. It was soon that the lodges of New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and other cities that were involved in the fund raising for the Statue of Liberty to build the pedestal. So the most famous symbol of American liberty had its roots in a covert plan to promote French Democracy and was backed by the secret society of Freemasonry.

Of course Freemasonry was the prefect choice because from its beginnings they have always stood for freedom, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, and most important is Freedom of Ignorance. (Age of Enlightenment…Illuminati) In the 18th Century Freemasons met secretly to discuss freedom and democracy. Speaking of things and advocating things that would defiantly be seen as a threat to the existing order. This is why they spoke in code but this code has become part of the everyday language. Example a truthful person speaking is “On The Level,” or an honest person doing business is “Giving You A Square Deal” and both can be trusted.

But sadly, many of the religious groups did not see it this way. They started putting out the alarm that the Freemasons were trying to put a Pagan God in the New York Harbor!! They pointed that the Roman God, “Libertas” was an actual deity in ancient times thus would be against God!! But as we all know, the Statue of Liberty is not a Pagan God but a symbolic representation that all should be true to in this country.

An example would be the symbolism of the torch that the Statue of Liberty is holding is to mean that the Freemasons stand guard to make sure that the light of knowledge will never be extinguished. Illumination, Enlightenment, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Truth. For Bertholdi, the statue’s name was Liberty Enlightening the World.

Another alarm from the religious crowd was when the corner stone was laid for the base; it was done by Freemasons in a Masonic Ceremony that uses Corn, Oil, and Wine, which symbolizes Prosperity, Peace, and Happiness. God forbid that this should be another Pagan Ritual leading this country into HELL!!

I will close by saying that many claiming to speak for religion, sounding the alarm that we are going against God, have no true idea of what they are speaking about. Of course this is not an important fact so long as they can get others to follow their rantings.

Anti Homosexual Preaching Christian Leader Dr. George Rekers, Caught With Male Escort

Dr. George Alan Rekers, the Family Research Council co-founder who has spent his professional career publishing pseudo-scholarly books on how to "cure" gay teenagers and make sure your children grow up straight.

Rekers, who is also a professor emeritus of neuropsychiatry at the University of South Carolina and a Baptist minister, recently testified against gay adoption in Florida, where he resides. Dr. George Rekers claimed that children adopted by gay couples are more likely to commit suicide.

The retired professor has remained far less high-profile than his Family Research Council co-founder James Dobson, but he is an extremely prolific author of books like, “Who Am I?,” “Lord and Growing Up Straight,” and “What Families Should Know About Homosexuality.” He has also been called on to advised the conservative right wing members of Congress, the Bush White House, and the Department of Health and Human Services on how homosexuals can be cured.

Now as it has so often been said, “The thing you are the most outspoken about….is really the thing you are yourself.” Yes our fine outstanding Dr. George Alan Rekers, appears to be nothing more than a self loathing homosexual himself!!

It has recently come to light that Dr. Rekers went on a lovely vacation with a young man, Lucien, who he hired from Rentboy.com. First, Rekers claimed he only learned that his travel companion was a prostitute some time after their vacation started. Rekers also claimed he hired him from Rentboy.com, a website that exists solely to aid gay men in finding sex partners for gay sex, to help him "lift luggage."

Rekers is now responding to inquiries from reporters with a new fabricated tail; he found his "recent travel assistant" by "interviewing acquaintances."

Rekers pointed out that Jesus spent a lot of time with prostitutes. And Rekers says he did not just pay his young male prostitute friend to lift luggage:
If you talk with my travel assistant you will find I spent a great deal of time sharing scientific information with Lucien on the desirability of abandoning homosexual intercourse, and I shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with him in great detail.

The male escort hired by anti-gay activist Dr. George Alan Rekers, told Miami New Times, the Baptist minister is a homosexual who paid him to provide body rubs once a day in the nude, during their ten-day vacation in Europe.

The male escort said that Reker’s favorite maneuver was the "long stroke,” a complicated caress across his penis, thigh to his anus over the butt cheeks. As the escort puts it, "Rekers liked to be rubbed down there."

In the past 24 hours, Rekers, a board member at the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) and cofounder of the Family Research Council, has claimed he took Lucien to Europe to inspire him to accept Jesus into his heart and renounce his homosexuality.

United States as a Christian Nation?

How did the Ultra Religious think that they can rewrite our country’s history with regards to our founding fathers establishing the United States as a Christian Nation?

THE ENLIGHTENMENT (the Age of Reason) was fostered by developments of the 17th century. Isaac Newton, Rene Descartes, Pierre Bayle, Benedict de Spinoza, Francis Bacon and John Locke, and our founding Fathers were of an age influenced by belief in natural law, universal order and a confidence in human reason. A rational and scientific approach to religious, social, political, and economic issues promoted a secular view of the world and a general sense of progress and perfectibility.

Any person knowing U.S. history realizes that anyone saying that this country was established as a Christian Nation, to be exactly the inverse as being true and below are quotes from our founding fathers statements to support that fact.

“Lighthouses are more useful than churches.” Benjamin Franklin

“This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it!” John Adams

“Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man.” “I have recently been examining all the known superstitions of the world, and do not find in our particular superstition (Christianity) one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology.” Thomas Jefferson

“I beg you be persuaded that no one would be more zealous than myself to establish “EFFECTUAL BARRIERS” against the “HORRORS” of “SPIRITUAL TYRANNY,” and every species of religious persecution.” George Washington, to United Baptists Churches of Virginia, May, 1789 from The Washington papers.

Why is the Religious Right propagating this incorrect statement as fact, when it is just a blatant lie? The only reason I can think of is that it furthers their political cause. I guess their thought process is that by constantly repeating this incorrect fact is that if you don’t believe and support their political views, THEN YOU ARE AGAINST GOD!!

Why do these people want to change this country from a “Secular Republic” to a “Theocracy?” Those who would renegotiate the boundaries between church and state must therefore answer a difficult question: why would we trade a system that has served us so well for one that has served others so poorly?

The word "God" does not appear within the text of the Constitution of the United States. After spending three and a half months debating and negotiating about what should go into the document that would govern the land, the framers drafted a constitution that is secular. The U.S. Constitution is often confused with the Declaration of Independence, and it's important to understand the difference.

What the Religious Right doesn't tell people, and what, tragically, many Americans apparently don't know, is that when it comes to determining what the laws of the United States mean, the only document that matters is the Constitution. The Constitution, a completely secular document, contains no references to God, Jesus or Christianity. It says absolutely nothing about the United States being officially Christian. The Religious Right's constant appeals to documents like the Declaration of Independence, which contains a deistic reference to "the Creator," cloud the issue and make some people believe their rights spring from these other documents.

The preamble of the Constitution invokes the people of the United States. It does not invoke any sort of God. The Constitution forbids any religious test to hold office. A godless person is just as eligible as a godly one! (Article 6, Paragraph 3) At the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Benjamin Franklin strongly suggested on June 28 that the convention have prayers said there. Evangelists take this as proof that the convention then went on with prayers. But, in fact, the convention did not accept the suggestion, and the convention went on without prayers.

Kent State May 4, 2010

Today, black pillars mark four sites on the east side of Kent State University, each memorializing one of the four college students killed by the Ohio National Guard during antiwar protests on May 4, 1970.

To commemorate today's anniversary, the university will host about a dozen speakers, including John Filo, the Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer of the famous image of 14 year old Mary Ann Vecchio kneeling over Jeffrey Miller's body just after the shooting; Russ Miller, Jeffrey's brother; and Florence Schroeder, the mother of another student who was killed, William Schroeder.

Below are those to be remembered.

Killed by the Ohio National Guard:
Jeffrey Glenn Miller; age 20, shot through the mouth and killed instantly.
Allison B. Krause; age 19, fatal left chest wound and died later that day.
William Knox Schroeder; age 19, fatal chest wound and died an hour later in hospital while waiting for surgery.
Sandra Lee Scheuer; age 20, fatal neck wound and died a few minutes later from loss of blood.
Wounded by the National Guard:
Joseph Lewis Jr.; hit twice in the right abdomen and left lower leg.
John R. Cleary; upper left chest wound.
Thomas Mark Grace; struck in left ankle.
Alan Michael Canfora; hit in his right wrist.
Dean R. Kahler; back wound fracturing the vertebrae and permanently paralyzed from the chest down.
Douglas Alan Wrentmore; hit in his right knee.
James Dennis Russell; hit in his right thigh from a bullet and in the right forehead by birdshot and both wounds minor (died 2007).
Robert Follis Stamps; hit in his right buttock (died June 11, 2008).
Donald Scott MacKenzie; neck wound.

David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young made the event a historical note with the song, “Ohio,” and continues on in remembrance today with Nickelback’s, “If Everyone Cared.”

Please take a time of silence and reflection of remembrance while playing the clip below.

A May Day Prayer

Sing Me Songs
By Engineer Of Knowledge

Sing me songs of our days past glory,
To contemplate how we came this far.
Sing me songs of our country’s origins,
To confirm whom we say we are.

Sing me songs of simple beauties,
Like the sky before the beginning of night.
Sing me songs of nightingales calling,
As children catch fire flies by star light.

Sing me songs of children playing,
Life where no tears of sorrow are shed.
Sing me songs where there is no illness,
With all tucked safely at night in bed.

Sing me songs of frosty fall mornings,
When you need a sweater and it reveals your breath.
Sing me songs of the tree’s leaves falling,
And all the birds have empty nests.

Sing me songs of a warm hearth glowing,
Where love grows and happiness thrives.
Sing me songs of the generations caring,
To make sure the family survives.

Sing me songs of geese flying in formation,
Filling the sky with calls for the South.
Sing me songs of this traditional pageant,
As they perform this play just over our house.

Sing me songs with prayers for peace,
Working together or we all will loose.
Sing me songs with tolerance for others,
The direction and success is for all to choose.

Demographics Of The Sarah Palin / Teabagger Supporters

I'm all for the very ideal of America that anyone can become president but can we agree that passing a basic civics and geography test would at least ensure that they have some level of minimum qualifications?

This is not an extreme thought as I give the examples that many professions have basic qualification exams such as Lawyers have to pass their Bars, Doctors have to pass their Boards, Engineers have to pass their PE exams, and Accountants have to pass their test before becoming a Certified Public Account. How about having any and all candidates for office at least pass the same test we require of immigrants before they become citizens?

Even Fox News admitted that Sarah Palin did not know that Africa was a continent but instead thought it was a country, did not know the countries involved in NAFTA, or that North Korea and South Korea were two separate countries or how that fact even came about, and she could not name the countries involved in WWII who were Allied or Axis nations. This was just a few examples of the many short comings that Sarah Palin has lacking in her education. Can we assume that apparently Alaska allows people to get high school diplomas without knowing that Africa is a continent, not a country? This person was the Governor and is now the main speaker at Tea Party gatherings!!!

This brings us to a recent Roper poll that was done for National Geographic and they found that those who identified themselves as Teabaggers today:

1. One-third of respondents could not identify Louisiana on a map and 48 percent were unable to locate Mississippi.

2. Less than three out of every 10 thinks it is not important to know the locations of countries in the news.

3. Just 14 percent believe speaking another language is a necessary skill.

4. Six out of every 10 could not find Iraq on a map of the Middle East.

5. While the outsourcing of jobs to India has been a major U.S. business story for several years now, 47 percent could not find the Indian subcontinent on a map of Asia.

6. While Israeli-Palestinian strife has been in the news for the entire lives of the respondents, 75 percent were unable to locate Israel on a map of the Middle East.

7. Nearly three-quarters incorrectly named English as the most widely spoken native language.

8. Six out of every 10 did not know the border between North and South Korea is the most heavily fortified in the world. Thirty percent thought the most heavily fortified border was between the United States and Mexico.

This Tea Party group that stands on this nation’s Capital steps, shouting racial slurs and spit on Congressman as they arrived to address this nation’s business, throwing bricks with hate messages and death threats through the windows their local Democratic Offices, thinking they are the “All That Ends All,” for the direction this country needs to be taking. These are the people that want to run my life?!?!
